The History of Baadfarten
Since the early 1890s, Baadfarten has been delighting guests with idyllic boat tours on Bagsværd Lake, Lyngby Lake, and Furesøen.
The beautiful wooden boats are steeped in history and two of the six boats used today, Prince Christian and Princess Alexandrine, date back to the 19th century.
All three lakes are surrounded by stunning, lush nature whereof several areas are protected. You can either lean back and enjoy a full roundtrip, or hop off and explore at some of the many stops along the way.
Enjoy a leisurely walk, have a picnic, or combine a visit to an art exhibition with a delicious lunch at beautiful Sophienholm.
Owned by the municipalities of Lyngby-Taarbæk, Gladsaxe, and Furesø, Baadfarten is operated by Stromma Danmark A/S. Stromma also owns and operates Copenhagen Canal Tours and Hop On-Hop Off bus sightseeing. Read more about Stromma Danmark here
